2016 Call for Sponsorship

The Canadian Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation (CAAIF) is pleased to invite you to support its inaugural CAAIF 2016 Gala and Auction entitled “Building Capacity: Excellence in Research and Education in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology” to be held on September 29, 2016, at the World Trade Centre, Montréal, Québec, at 7:00 pm.

The Problem

  •  Allergic rhinitis, asthma and food allergies affect a significant number of Canadians.
  •  Allergic rhinitis: 25-30%
  •  Asthma: 10-15%
  •  Food allergies: 7.5% with at least one food allergy
  •  Allergic rhinitis negatively affects work and school performance, and diminishes over- all quality of life.
  •  Asthma is a leading cause of emergency department visits and hospitalizations in children.

Food allergy affects up to 8% of Canadian children. It is a major concern for a child’s family and friends, and impacts schools and the general community.

Although advances in medications have helped alleviate symptoms of these conditions, more research is needed to understand how genetic and environmental factors impact the immune system, so that we may better treat these problems and even prevent their onset.

The Opportunity

Sponsorship of the CAAIF 2016 Gala and Auction provides a unique opportunity for you or your organization to highlight its commitment to excellence in research and education for allergic and immunologic disorders.

Your participation will enable CAAIF to support outstanding research and clinical innovations.
